Recipe: Roasted Kale Chips

1 bunch of kale, destemmed and ripped into bite sized chunks
1 splash of olive oil
1 splash of rice wine vinegar
kosher salt to taste

Heat Oven to 350 F. Mix ingredients on in a bowl. Place the kale on a cookie sheet. Roast kale until crisp but not burnt, 20-25 minutes.

Props to vegweb for the inspiration.

Where To Buy Fine & Raw

I me got some Fine & Raw at the Brooklyn Flea. It is freaking awesome. It is right up there with Alter Eco and Vintage Plantations in my book. It is the first “raw” chocolate I have had and I must say it does not disappoint. If you are in NYC, I posted a list of stores above where you can get some. In these times, this is an indulgence you can still afford — worth every penny.

Recipe: Easy Pea Soup

Easy Pea Soup

1 32 oz. container of the stock of your choice

1 bag of frozen green peas

herbs or something else to jazz it up

salt & pepper to taste

Heat the green peas in the stock. When the peas look cooked, blend half (or all or none) in a blender. Mix the blended and unblended soup (if necessary). Serve with herbs or whatever.

UPDATE: I fried up some sliced garlic in butter and threw that in the blender with the soup. Yum.
